Grips & Fixtures
Hydraulic Gripping Fixture
Heavy Duty Hydraulic Grips- TJ 144

- These are specially manufactured for testing of Heavy duty Belts and Fabrics in the belting industries.
- Available in heavier load capacities to suit sample requirement.
- Additional serrated or corrugated faces available as per requirement.
- Comes with a Hydraulic Power Pack (3 phase, 440V) and Electric Foot Switch Control.
- Enhanced gripping performance, usability, and operator safety compared to the older traditional grip design & features.
– Each grip functions independently of the other, an external hydraulic supply providing pressure to both open and close the grips.
– When gripping pressure is applied, the relative vertical position of the specimen / jaw faces remains unchanged to prevent specimen load generation during the gripping process.
– Once the grip faces contact the specimen the hydraulic pressure produces a vertical force on the grip head. The grip force will remain constant as the design automatically compensates for specimen thickness changes.
- Load Synchronisation Feature – With increasing loads during the test, the clamping pressure of the grips on the sample increases simultaneously ensuring enhanced gripping & ensures hence efficient testing.
- This feature also avoids sample buckling during gripping.
- These advanced grips maintain a constant gripping force on the specimen that acts perpendicular to the direction of testing and is independent of tensile loading.
- Excellent Repeatability – These grips clamp onto your specimen in the same position, test after test, to minimise the bending strains that can invalidate your test results.
- Tension & Fatigue Capability: You can use the grips for both tensile and fatigue tests.
- Adjustable Pressure: Hydraulic pressure can be adjusted, allowing these grips to be used for testing a variety of materials.
- Multiple Wedge Selection: A wide variety of wedges are available to meet your requirements.
- Easy Specimen Insertion: Side loading lets you quickly and easily insert specimens.
- Free of backlash through zero loading due to hydraulic operated wedges, with a parallel gripping force application on the specimen.
- Appropriate for torsion tests combined with axial load (optional).
- Easy installation on the material testing machine by means of a mounting flange and adapters.• Installation possibility in static and dynamic material testing machines due to fitted connection systems and hydraulic power packs.
- Scaling possibility through interchangeable inserts for flat and round specimens with various dimensions.

Hydraulic Wide Vice Section Grip - TJ 161

– The Hydraulic Vice action grips are specifically engineered to perform tensile tests on materials that demand substantial test forces.
– These grips are well-suited for testing a wide range of materials, including metals and high -strength non-metallic samples.
– They excel in accommodating flat, hexagonal, and round test forms, catering to diverse testing needs.
– Thanks to the hydraulic mechanism, these grips offer consistent and adjustable clamp loading, which is crucial for testing delicate materials.
– The hydraulic system enables reliable control over the clamping force, ensuring the safety & integrity of the samples during the testing procedure.
- Enhanced gripping performance, usability, and operator safety compared older traditional grip designs.
- With increasing loads during the test, the clamping pressure of the grips on the sample increases simultaneously ensuring enhanced gripping & hence efficient testing. Avoids sample buckling during gripping.
- This grip enables testing of slightly bent or irregular specimen such as rebar or wire rod.
- These advanced grips maintain a constant gripping force on the specimen that acts perpendicular to the direction of testing and is independent of tensile loading.
- Capacity of the Grip can be decided with the maximum machine capacity it has to be paired with / the max sample breaking load for that test.
– The grips are designed with a user-friendly side opening, simplifying and expediting the insertion of specimens.
– Furthermore, a variety of wedge jaw faces are available to accommodate different types of specimens, enhancing versatility and compatibility.
– To operate the grips effectively, a power pack with a high-pressure hydraulic output is supplied.
– This power pack facilitates smooth opening, closing, and adjustment of the clamp forces, enabling precise and reliable testing outcomes.
Twin Side-Acting Hydraulic Grip-TJ 531

- An innovative solution for high-capacity testing.
- Powered on both sides of the fixture.
- In this type of a design, opposing gripping surfaces travel in a synchronized motion, providing an automatic at-center gripping of specimen.
- Enhanced gripping performance, usability, and operator safety compared older traditional grip designs.
- With increasing loads during the test, the clamping pressure of the grips on the sample increases simultaneously ensuring enhanced gripping & hence efficient testing. Avoids sample buckling during gripping.
